Every week, we highlight 5 interesting events, activities, initiatives, or unique happenings around the Greater Green Bay community (in no particular order). This week:

1 – The Bellin Run – Saturday, June 11th, 8:00 am

One of the most popular 10K runs in the nation, the Bellin Run is a Green Bay tradition for both serious and casual runners alike. Now celebrating their 40th anniversary, early estimates have the final race numbers around 23,000 participants. While not the flattest or fastest course out there, what makes the Bellin so special is the great fan support along the route and the number of local runners who take the 6.2 mile trek. It is hard to go more than a few blocks without running next to someone you know or recognize. This year also features a chance to run with Olympian Meb Keflezighi. Still time to register! Full race details at: www.bellinrun.org

2 – Current – Young Professionals Network “After 5” – Tuesday, June 7th, 5:00 – 8:00 pm, 1919 Kitchen and Tap

Check out the newest eatery at Historic Lambeau Field as well as meet other dynamic, active, and community minded young professionals. “After 5” events are a casual way to build your network and learn more about Current. Plus, this is a nice chance to see what is going on with the new Stadium District construction efforts. Learn more at: https://www.facebook.com/greenbaycurrent/

3 – Dine On The Deck – Wednesday, June 8th, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, City Deck, Downtown Green Bay

Now in their 7th season, “Dine On The Deck” features locally owned, downtown restaurants with lunchtime fare and light entertainment. A great opportunity to enjoy the City Deck and support local businesses.

4 – Master Agent Training – Tuesday, June 7th, 11:00 am to Noon, The Green Bay Children’s Museum

For those with little ones who have dreams of being the next Kim Possible or James Bond Jr, consider checking out this fun event at the Children’s Museum. Cleverly disguised as spy training, the kids will join M.A.T.H. (Master Agent Training Headquarters) to fine tune their problem solving skills through puzzles and codes, scramble their voices, perfect their disguises, and create an alter ego. See if they have what it takes to be a Master Agent? (Disclaimer – Brian Lee Danzinger is NOT a spy). Full details at: http://www.gbchildrensmuseum.org/events/master-agent-training/2016-06-07/

5 – Steel Bridge 2016 – Thursday, June 9th through Sunday, June 12th, 5:00 pm, Sturgeon Bay, WI

I know, I know. Technically not a Green Bay event, but only 45 minutes away and one of the most amazing music festivals in Wisconsin. The 12th annual Steel Bridge Songfest – is the world’s only collaborative songwriting festival bringing together hundreds of musicians and songwriters from all over the world for four days and three nights of live music in Sturgeon Bay. Live performances showcase newly written songs along with anthems from previous years and artist originals. For more information visit www.steelbridgesongfest.org.
